It’s a beautiful day

“It’s a beautiful day…don’t let it get away.” – Beautiful Day – U2.  Despite being one of the Irish rock band’s most recognizable songs around the world, this song almost didn’t exist as the band didn’t like it when they first heard it.  Funny, as the lead singer of REM Michael Stipe has gone on to say that he REALLY wishes he was the one who wrote this song and recorded it, he loved this song so much.  

This song speaks to when someone hits rock bottom, yet they can still be at peace with the fact that they are alive and able to live another day.  They can look around themselves and see the beauty going on, without wallowing in the misery that may be their temporary life.  

There are many times in life when you may feel defeated, you may feel you have hit rock bottom.  My friend, as long as you have a roof over your head, you have food to eat, you are warm and breathing, you can know there are better days ahead.  Right now, place your hand over your heart.  Do you feel that?  That’s your heartbeat.  That’s your purpose.  Your reason for living.  Too often we squander an opportunity by not thinking we are good enough.  We think that we can’t.  It’s a beautiful day out there.  Don’t let it get away.  Those are #LyricsToLiveLifeBy.
