There’s still time to change the road you’re on

“There’s still time to change the road you’re on” – Stairway To Heaven – Led Zepplin.  Probably one of the biggest songs of all-time, there’s a reason this epic song spans almost 8 minutes in length; it’s THAT GOOD.

There are SEVERAL interpretations of this 70s classic, but this article isn’t here to debate those, just to grab inspiration from the lyrics.  Sure, even in the 1970s there was still time to change the road you’re on, but the truth is that that type of practice wasn’t that common, although Plant and Page could certainly proclaim themselves to be prophets of today.

Many people change careers midstream, or have several jobs over the course of their life, which is one interpretation of their lyrics.  Another would be if someone is wanting out of a relationship, whether it be physically or emotionally toxic, this lyric applies as well.  Change is HARD for anyone, and the older we get as a human, the more resistant we are to change.  We don’t like it, we like living in our “bubble” and don’t want to be disrupted.  However we all know the only constants in life are death and taxes, and that in and of itself, should be a precursor for us all to know that there’s still time to change the road we’re on.  Those are #LyricsToLiveLifeBy.
