We’ll walk this road together through the storm

“We’ll walk this road together, through the storm.  Whatever weather, cold or warm.” – Not Afraid – Eminem.  This song was released in April of 2010, and was the lead single from Eminem’s best-selling seventh album “Recovery”.  It accomplished the rare feat of debuting at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, has won a Grammy and broke Top 10 in 15 other countries throughout the world.  

This song and its lyrics are definite #LyricsToLiveLifeBy, due to their self-discovery theme, the artist taking a stand (in this case for his own sobriety), and pledging to stay true to himself.  The depth of this track is that Eminem is not just speaking to himself, he’s also speaking to his fans.  He wants to lead them down the same path he is on to self growth as a person, have them “take a stand” and fight their own demons to grow as an individual.  Have you had that defining moment to take a stand, be not afraid, and do what you want to further your life?
